Fishing by foot

Go fishing with local expert and maximise your chances to get something. You can choose either spinning rod or fly rod.

We will plan the trip with you according to the method and species you prefer. Trip can be just nice short few hours at some beautiful spot or even a whole week long wilderness experience if you wish so. Pricing varies depending on the tour type.

We can help you with the fishing licences. Which kind of licenses you need if any, and from where can you get them, etc. Some licences you can get straight from us.

Some small snacks, "cowboy coffee" and/or sausages to grill on a fire can be included also to the shorter tours if asked. Food for longer trips will be planned case by case.

Fishing by boat at Lake Inari

Experience unforgettable private fishing trip at Lake Inari.

We can concentrate on a fishing method of your choice or make a combination of different methods and areas. Different methods and different areas are more suitable for different species. These methods can be for example trolling, spinning rod fishing, bottom fishing or jigging.

The boat is equipped with modern hi-tech trolling equipment (automatic Cannon down riggers, sonar systems, etc.). Most common catches are trout, arctic char, grayling, lake salmon, white fish, pike, perch and burbot.

Longer than 5h trips include either soup or sausage grilling plus some snacks on some suitable campfire site. We can plan which one would you prefer when booking. You can also bring your own snacks with you if wished.

We can help you with the fishing licences. Which kind of licences you need if any, and from where can you get them, etc. Some licences you can get straight from us.

Aurora tours by car

Maximise your chances to see the northern lights on a high class private tour.

We are not supernatural gods who could control the nature but unlike other operators, we can modify the length and timing of the trip according to the weather conditions to maximise the possibility to see some northern lights. 

If we think that weather is so bad that the chances to see something are absolutely zero we can try to arrange better day for the tour. If it's not possible to find better time for the tour during your stay we can also cancel the tour and then of course you won't be charged.

The aim is to be somewhere at a certain time when the circumstances are favorable for seeing some northern lights. According to the weather conditions on different areas at different times, we will plan and schedule the tour and its destination.

Pick up and drop off anywhere at Saariselkä and close by area. Pick ups and drop offs elsewhere possible as well by consulting with us.

Tankavaara Gold Museum visit

Magnificent Tankavaara gold museum is the only international gold museum in the world. Learn about gold prospecting history all around the world and in Finland, and learn how to do traditional gold panning yourself as well. You can keep the gold that you find!

Inari and Northern Finland with it's vast wilderness areas is one of the rare places in the world where people still prospect gold with traditional methods. It's hard work and needs patience. Usually it's just a hobby for the most but some do it also as a profession.

Museum is located about 30 minutes drive south from Saariselkä. Pick ups to the program from Saariselkä and close by areas are included. If you are coming from further (for example Ivalo or Inari village), additional fee is added to the price by the location.

Siida Sámi Museum visit

Learn about Sami culture, local traditions and nature.

Finland and especially Northern Finland is one of the rare areas in the world where pure nature, forests and wilderness areas rule the landscape. Where's not too many people messing up the rules of the nature. Traditions of living in the nature and from the nature are strongly part of our culture.

Siida museum was nominated to be the "European museum of the year 2024" by European Museum Forum.

Additional stops on the way to visit shops or other attractions are possible if wished so.

Museum is located about 1h 15 min drive north west from Saariselkä. Pick ups to the program from Saariselkä and close by areas, Ivalo and Inari village. The duration is 6h for the program when starting from Saariselkä and close by areas. Starting from Ivalo or Inari duration is a bit shorter since it's not so long way to get there.

Boat taxi

Boat taxi service can be booked where ever you are going on Lake Inari, if the weather conditions and certain measures in the pick up point and the destination allows (water depth, dock measurements, etc.).

Also special drop offs or pick ups in the wilderness without a dock at the destination can be arranged if the above-mentioned measures are fulfilled. You could for example get a drop off to Vätsäri wilderness area and start your trekking or fishing trip at a really remote place.
